Suvarnabhumi Airport also known as New Bangkok International Airport, is the airport serving Bangkok Thailand.
The airport has 2 parallel runways(60 m. wide, 4,000 m. and 3700 m. long) and 2 parallel taxiways to accommodate
simultaneous departures and arrivals. With a capacity of handling 76 flight operations per hour, both international
and domestic flights will share the airport terminal but will be assigned to different parts of the concourse.
An air traffic control tower of New Bangkok International Airport is 132 meter-high,the highest in the world.

バンコク・スワンナブーム国際空港は世界最大級の空港である。2006年9月に開港した。空港ターミナルビルに入ると先ず
驚かされるのは、その先進的なデザインと広さである。空港ターミナルビルはドイツ人建築家、ヘルムート・ヤーンが
設計した。建設は日本の大林組、竹中建設とイタリア・タイの合弁会社が担当した。地上７階建て、地下2階建てである。
旅客ターミナルビルの総床面積は563,000㎡と世界一の広さを誇り、アジアのハブを目指すタイの新時代の象徴として
進められた国家プロジェクトである。
バンコク・スワンナブーム国際空港の禁煙標識は出入口近くにのみ表示されており、空港内は特定の喫煙場所のみの案内と
なっている。日本向け航空機の出発ゲイトは４階のチェックインカウンターから入るが、ゲイト入口には手書きの日本語
喫煙所案内が貼られており、如何に日本人旅行者に喫煙する者が多いかを物語っている。
