SNCF TGV trains are very attractive. The photos show the first class train in the left, the second class in the right.

(L) No smoking sign observed at the entrance to a restaurant. However, a shop which shows no-smoking is very small.
(R) Most of the restaurants and cafe have an outside chair and sheet placed in a walkway.

フランス受動喫煙防止法

フランス国内で施行されたレストラン、カフェ、バーを含む禁煙法（受動喫煙防止法）は屋内で厳正に実施されていた。
その分、屋外の法的喫煙規制はとられておらず、レストランのテラス席、イコール、喫煙席となっていた。カフェでは
道路側の扉を開け放していることが多いため、屋外席で吸っているタバコの煙が室内にまで流れ込んでくる可能性を
否めない。市内では観光客を含め、多くの人々が歩きながら喫煙していた。特に多いのは、これは世界共通のことで
あるが、若い女性の姿が目立っていたことだ。

タバコ自販機は一台も見あたらなかった。タバコを販売している店は観光客の歩いているパリ市内ではなかなか見つからない。
モンマルトルの近くでカフェ・バーを兼ねているタバコ店を見つけコーヒーを注文した。

フランス国鉄のすべての国際列車、国内長距離列車の車両は100％禁煙である。それは SNCF の方針であると共に、
禁煙法（受動喫煙防止法）により車両内での喫煙が厳しく規制されているためである。タバコのヤニに汚染されていない、
クリーンな車体は、そのデザイン性、快適性と共に世界に誇る高速鉄道網を提供している。喫煙ルームを車内に設け、
喫煙車を運行している日本の鉄道はきわめて不健康で、世界の常識から著しく悦脱していることをよく認識して欲しい。
