Hotel Shikisai, Nikko, Tochigi

Hotel Shikisai, rather ryokan, is located in the Nikko National Park, and situated at the lake's shores and by
the surrounding mountains. It is so beautiful in mid to late October, when the autumn colors reach their
peak, standing in the areas of the colorful natural scenery. All 36 guest rooms are smoke-free. However,
a smoking area provided in the corridor of grouped tatami room, mainly used for a dining has no partition,
and a harmful sidestream might be spread over the public space, including shop andreception hall.

The above dinner is Kaiseki, which is the culinary highlight at a ryokan, embodying beautifully presented dishes
that delight both the palate and the eyes. Every one of the 10 to 15 dishes that makes up the multi-course
Japanese dinner is prepared in a way that highlights the unique textures, colors, and flavors of featured
seasonal ingredients and local specialties.
