The average minimum temperature is 11C, and the maximum temperature is 21C in May of Chicago. This season is
the most comfortable season to live, as well as October.

シカゴ郊外住宅地の春シカゴのSouthsideに比べ、North Shore近くには豊かな住宅地が広がる。1960年代にシカゴに居住して
いたとき、すでにそのように分かれていた。シカゴ市民にとっては都市北部に居住することが一つのステータスシンボルと
なっていた。シカゴの冬は厳しい。それだけに花々で埋まるこの季節はすばらしい。

シカゴ・ダウンタウンから北に延びるレッドラインはハワード駅でパープルラインに移行する。直通運転する電車もあるが、
多くはここで２両連結の電車に乗り換える。終点はリンデン駅である。土日を除き、ブルーライン急行が運転され郊外から
シカゴループへの通勤時間は大幅に短縮される。
